This website is owned and operated by Greater Peterborough Business Development Centre Inc. (operating as Community Futures Peterborough (“CFP”). CFP delivers business financing and advisory services through the Community Futures Program, which is funded by the Government of Canada through FedDev Ontario. CFP also delivers entrepreneurship and business programs through our Business Advisory Centre.
CFP delivers the Small Business Enterprise Centre (“SBEC”) program, in partnership with the Province of Ontario. Our Business Advisory Centre (“BAC”) includes the SBEC program and receives operational funding support from the City of Peterborough and Peterborough County.

CFP is committed to protecting your privacy. Community Futures Peterborough, including its board members, staff, and volunteers, is committed to complying with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (“PIPEDA”).
Collection of Information
Community Futures Peterborough collects personal information to assess eligibility for financial assistance, provide business advisory services, and administer entrepreneurship and economic development programs.
Certain programs delivered by Community Futures Peterborough require the collection and reporting of information to government program administrators. This includes reporting to the Government of Canada through the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario) for the Community Futures Program, and reporting to the Government of Ontario for programs delivered through the Small Business Enterprise Centre (SBEC).
Both personal and non-personal information collected is safeguarded according to the highest privacy and data protection standards available and in compliance with PIPEDA.

The information collected by Community Futures Peterborough will be used solely for the purposes of carrying on ordinary business conduct, as requested and authorized by you.
Community Futures Peterborough does not sell or disclose personal information to third parties for marketing purposes. Personal information may be shared where required to administer programs or services you have requested, including reporting requirements to government program administrators such as the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario) and the Government of Ontario in connection with Small Business Enterprise Centre (SBEC) programs.
Retention of Information
Personal information is retained only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected and to meet legal, accounting, and program reporting requirements.
Monitoring Website Traffic
Our hosting servers maintain access logs that record web browser activity. These logs associate an Internet Protocol (IP) address with each request for content from the servers.
Use of Cookies
Our web hosting servers can use “cookie” technology to keep track of the browsers with which they are communicating. During a cookie transaction, a web server will hand a browser some data prescribed by the website’s developers. The browser will return that data with its next request for content from the website. Using this technology, it is possible for an application running on a web server to distinguish one web browser’s activity from another.
